Hans
What are the parameters for these? i.e how many points does each actually equal?
Tigrii
I don't really, get your question, but in case you were wondering, there is no fixed size for each type, it's relative to the number of unit points. A small 5000 point map is bigger than a huge 300 point map.
SgtMuhammed
I guess that is why the medium map I am playing on with 5000 points is so freaken big. Thanks for the info.
Dook
I think Hans was referring to the brief size descriptions of scenarios when they are listed on the scenario menu before you actually begin playing. What are the map size, point value, other determinants of this one word descriptor?
Hans
Egads an unclear answer to my unclear question. My question was how many points decides whether the computer calls a scenario tiny, small etc. From what I see here it also seems to be a parameter of the size of the map selected.....hmmmmm
WWB
Nothing to do with map size or points. It is all about unit counts, including possible reinforcements (eg low percentage or conditional in operations) and fortifications. In case of operation it counts all troops over the course of the fighting, so they all end up being huge given enough battles. Examples: 1) 5000 point battle featuring 8 panthers vs 8 T34s: Tiny, only 16 units. 2) 3000 point battle featuring 2 conscript battalions per side: large, many units. 3) Defensive scenario with 130 trench tiles, 50 barbed wire tiles, and 1 company holding it all: large, many units. Etc, etc. WWB
