Saul Posted April 25, 2008 Share Posted April 25, 2008 I have SC2 and the W&W X pac. I am running an Intel dual core 6600 with 2gig of RAM and an 8800 GTX video card. My problem is when I play the game is gets progressivly slower. After about 1 min of play it is slow, after 5 mins it is unplayable. Takes seconds to move the map a single square. Takes 5 mins to process a turn. The solution I have found is to save the game, shut down the game, restart the game, load my turn, then get another good 2 mins out of it. Hubert Cater Posted April 25, 2008 Share Posted April 25, 2008 Saul, Can you try running the game in 16 bit mode to see if it helps? This can be done by going to the SETTINGS dialog from the MAIN MENU once in game. At this point you may see that you are running the game at let's say 1280x1024x32, simply change it to 1280x1024x16. I would also suggest installing the latest video driver for your card and downloading the latest version of DirectX as well. Saul Posted April 26, 2008 Author Share Posted April 26, 2008 OK, I - Upgrade vid card driver - Upgraded Direct X to the latest itteration - Then turned off my 2nd screen.
