Save Game issues with Mod

Recommended Posts

When I try loading a saved game for my mod, I receive the following message:

Could not find directory

Saved game will be loaded without customization.

The game loads but without any of the custom bitmaps though they were present when I started a new game.

I checked the save folder and found the save file there, but what is missing? Seems odd that the game loads ok but does not save correctly.

Where did I screw up?

I'm afraid that did not work as the same pop up appears and the game loads without any of my custom bitmaps, scripts ect. I have not been renaming the subfolder, the only thing I have been doing is transferring and replacing the campaign file, and .cgn file between my home and work pc. Would working on the game between my two pc's and always replacing the existing files cause issues?

Hubert...is it possible that the save file is somehow being generated in two separate folders? I ask because of the following:

When I save a game I get this screen. All my saves and the most recent (highlighted) are present)

But then when closing the game and starting up the game again, when I want to load a game, I get a blank screen. Why aren't my saves being shown? Even the one I saved moments ago is not there.

Hi JP, if this is Vista there is a strange setting for games installed in the Program Files directory that may be causing this issue.

See this link:

If this is the case, you can try reinstalling the game into another directory, i.e. 'C:\Games\Strategic Command 2' or something similar as it should resolve the issue.
