FuChu Posted September 28, 2007 Share Posted September 28, 2007 I run Windows Vista and had been playing SC2 right up to the day I downloaded the 1.7 patch. Here is what I see when attempting to start SC2. SC2.EXE Unable To locate component This application has failed to start because MSVCR 71.DLL was not found. I downloaded the patch from 3 different mirrors in hopes that might help. But on attempting to start SC2 I always get that same error message.
