targul
Friend and I are attempting to play via Email and we are constantly getting a file read error. When I initially sent him a German turn he had the error. I redid the turn and he then sent it to me and I now get the file read error. Any idea what maybe causing this? Thanks
Terif
2 ideas : - if you don´t have the same version of SC2 you get a file read error. So make sure you both have patched to the same version. Latest one is 1.06 - you can see the version number in the start screen. - if that´s not the problem check in your windows explorer the save file if it is set on read only and if that´s the case disable the write protection so it is read/write enabled.
Hubert Cater
Pretty much what Terif suggests and if these fail you might want to also try compressing the files before you send and uncompressing afterwards as some mail servers strip these types of files of their data.
