Problems trying to play TCP

This is what's in the error log. And a file called exception_trace.log appeared, containing :

SC2: PANIC: Unexpected harmful signal (Segmentation violation) ...

SC2: system execution failed.

Following is the set of recorded exceptions.

NB: The raised panic may have induced completely inconsistent information:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Class / Object Routine Nature of exception Effect

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SC2_APPLICATION root's creation Unexpected harmful signal (Segmentation violation):

<0000000003FC0080> Eiffel run-time panic. Bye

It happened while trying to play tcpip with Condor - he opened port 6530, disabled his FW etc.

We both are running 1.04, although Condor said something about having to reinstall the patch.

We couldn't get a game going, looked as if it tried to join but the progress stopped.

Any ideeas?

Hubert, we have exactly this problem playing PBEM (my friend, Johan, has already approached you with it directly). We tried to delete all older scenarios in the campaign folder as you suggested, but it did not solve the problem. All SC2-gaming is presently down, and we're getting a bit twitchy.

It must be something else ...

Wait!! Problem solved! smile.gif

We made another deleting run, took away a scenario called Attack that I thought was part of the original game. Suddenly it worked!
