Jordy
Mr. Cater I cant see what exactly is happening when my opponent moves because of Fog-or-War but here is what happened. I was watching the replay and the Surprise enemy contact meesage comes up. Then my fighter takes a hit and it looks like his was destroyed. Mine was not on the front line so he had no-where to try and move to. So I don't know how he was "surprised" Maybe intercepted. I dont know. Anyway, it didn't look right. Just wondering if there are certain instances where this can happen. I have the file I was sent saved.
Jordy
It did it again on the next turn too. The first time the Soviet 1st AF was destroyed, this time the 3rd. I also saved this file.
Terif
Hi Jordy, this is the normal way. If you attack and your airfleet get intercepted -from an airfleet you couldnt see previously - and destroyed from the interceptor, then it displays a surprise contact.
Hubert Cater
Ok I'm not sure what you are really seeing happen so send me the turn and I'll take a look. Hubert
Reepicheep
If an air fleet is intercepted and completely destroyed, after the opponent's replay of that occurrence, the game displays 'Surprise Enemy Contact' instead of 'Attacker Was Destroyed'. As Terif said, it has no effect on gameplay.
