Iron Ranger
Two questions / problems on this area of the map. 1) If you control both countrys the resource values increase to '8' from the starting point of '5'. Why? (can't be due to the two capitals because I've tried this with Spain and Portugal and the values stay at '5') 2) When Sweden is attacked by Germany and you use air power to hit the capital why does swedens air not intersept the german attack. I've never seen this happen in 1939 Fall Wiese, but I've tested it in the 1943 game and they will intersept. What I'm I missing?
Hubert Cater
1) This is due to the proximity of Sweden through to Denmark, almost a land bridge which allows for greater supply flow under the existing supply rules 2) This is part of the surprise attack mechanism in the game engine, they will respond on the second turn if they still exist and their strength is sufficient Hubert
Iron Ranger
Thank you for the information. Great game, thanks for putting it together and doing such a great job supporting it. 1) Continuation on this question : Is there any other areas like this on the board? I haven't seen it but how about the spain - gabalter - N. Africa route?
Hubert Cater
Thanks! Yes, North Africa through Gibraltar and Spain has the same effect, so long as a continuous line of supply can be drawn from a major capital etc. Hubert
