Paqman
Hello all, Just wanted to say that I have been playing SC for a few weeks now, and I truly love this game. It is also quite refreshing to see the great support offered on this web site from the creator as well as from other players. I have been reading most of the topics with great interest. I have just a few questions in regards to ladder play: - Are there any tactics that not acceptable (i.e. too gamey)? For example, the Italian gambit, moving all your french troops to England, etc. - Also, are live internet games possible with an old fashioned dial up modem? I look forward to reading more posts, and playing some of you in the future (when I'm a more worthy opponent). Paqman

I'm a n00b too, so if you want to play PBEM at least, lemme know - e-mail me. I guess the way to get "worthy" is to just jump in and start playing other people. Good question about the dial-up connection. I've been wondering about that too. But I have to assume that not all the online players have high-speed access. Paqman
Stece C. Thanks for the reply. I will let you know in a little while, I just want to play a little more. I'll send you an email in the near future. Regards, Paqman
Hubert Cater
Dial up modem should work fine, although as expected each sent move and end of turn data transfer will be a bit slower. Hubert
