jon_j_rambo
Read this ABC news report, hope it happens Stallone Might Dust Off His Green Beret for Sequel Watch out Osama, Rambo is headed your way. Sylvester Stallone may bring his one-man army out of retirement and send him back into Afghanistan 13 years after his last mission, London's Sunday Times reports. As you may recall in 1988's Rambo III, our hero joined Afghan fighters to oppose Russian invaiders. Stallone's alter ego slipped behind Soviet lines (back then, there used to be an evil empire known as the Soviet Union) to rescue his former Green Beret commander. In the new movie, Rambo will kick some Taliban butt, several sources report. Stallone is in Miami, reportedly working on the script. The movie, presumably Rambo IV could go before the cameras before the end of the year for a release next summer. Stallone, 55, might be getting a little old for action movies. But don't be tricked by insurmountable odds. Remember in Rocky III when Mr. T's Clubber Lang said of the aging champ, "I pity the fool." In the original flick, 1982's First Blood, Rambo, a Vietnam vet disenchanted with his country, gets harassed in a small town by local law enforcement. When a small town sheriff tortures him in jail, he unleashes hell. In the first sequel, he returns to Vietnam to rescue a band of all-but-forgotten prisoners of war. The Rocky and Rambo series have grossed more than $2 billion. Buck Wolf and ABC Radio contributed to this report.

JerseyJohn
Ah, you Swedes are so jealous that the U. S. has a true to life realistic and believable hero like Rambo. Perhaps, if you guys showed some initiative and started a few wars of your own, you'd have a Sivester Stillone -- Rambo too!

JerseyJohn
Zapp This may be un-patriotic of me but I think you've got the better of the deal. Sweden always had a lot of great talent like director Ingmar Bergman and actor Max von Sydow. Movies with intelligent plots and emphasis on the craft. Hollywood takes a different approach, mainly it likes to film things being blown up -- and somewhere along the line they even swiped Max von Sydow! Jim Boggs
Hey! I reserved a spot on the General Forum for this Thread. Go Rambo! See ya on the Dark Side of the Forum. I predict this one will be a huge hit.
