Nmargie
I have a question. When it comes to making fan sites do we need to get written prommission or is Battle front ok with it as long as you do not break copy right law or any other legil issue? I ask becouse as many of you know there was talk a few months ago about one of the current sites going under new managment, that must have fallen through and I figure why not make my own. If it is allowed or if I can get permission from who ever it is I need to ask I would welcome any help or input people want to give. Thanks Nick

Kuniworth
We don't want piracy and exploting of Battlefront here. Im watching you Margie!!!
Nmargie
Kuniworth; I do not plan to steel or pirate anything. I understand Battlefront would probably sue the crap out of a fan site that was giving away products that greatly affected either their bottom line or products. I also understand they probably would frown on a case where someone running a fan site was making money of their products as well. My big concern was with copy rights; I was not sure how nice battle front was when it came to using product names and logos. Some companies are ok with it others frown. Nmargie
jon_j Well when I talked to Otto back a few months ago he had some ideas, I designed many of them but never talked to him again to share them so I figure why was them. One issue was an updated nicer looking site with a database back end so better services could be provided. Other things included A challange board. People could create a username and post there name along with the game they own (SC or SC2) and if someone at some point is looking for a game they can go to the board and look for an opponent. One thing I would like to add to that is a win loss record, not sure how you could keep everyone honest on it but it would help someone find an opponent the can match. A members area. I have no idea what would go in besides teh opponent board I would also like to see a nice area dedicated to play by play. When they are posted in a normal message board they seem kind of dual I would like to see an area where they may include a small screen shot or two to give a better feel for the battle I would also like to see a section where people that have been playing for a long time can post thier thoughts and strategy tips I will leave it at that for now Nick

jon_j_rambo
@Margie --- Dude, it's a novel idea, but take a look at who is even playing SC. What? A half dozen old farts? If you got something cool, just post it here.
