AAAAGGGHHHH!If you right-click anywhere on the map before placing the unit, it'll cancel the purchase. Same thing with moving a unit through operations: if you find you can't move the unit where you want to, simply right-click and it'll cancel the instruction. You can't cancel a transport order, however, which I've screwed up a number of times.
