pzgndr
I'll say a 4 also. Definitely need to bump it up a couple with a little more historical detail. It's got to appeal to the WWII simulation crowd, but should still retain the fun feel to it. A little work should easily get it to 5-6, and an advanced game option maybe to a 7-8 later. There's a lot of potential here.
Jeff Heidman
The combat system is, IMO, way, way too simplistic. It is literally just like Panzer General. Units do not engage in battles they "shoot" at one another. There isn't any real strategic flexibility. No opportunity to use superior tactics really, just line 'em up and blast away. Units do not support one another at all (excecpt for aircraft), and the sum of a force is never greater than its parts. I will still buy it, but I expect that it will not last long on my hard drive. But then again, it might turn out to be one of those games where the sum is greater than its parts, and despite all its abstraction and simplification, just "works", and is plenty of fun.
