This was going to take 20 hours to finish, that's unacceptable. Warning to whoever is out there. If you play me & you refuse to play faster after multiple warnings, that's it for me. I haven't had a problem since DragonSlow, he has turned from his snail like behavior, obviously, Zapp wanted to turn this into the World Series of Slowness. Forget it. You're not going to make it into something it isn't, so why take forever? You've played over 200+ games of SC, you know how to play. We started talking right at the beginning of the Rams/Seahawks football game, taking forever. You think I can play at that kind of a pace & care? zappsweden Posted October 10, 2004 Author Share Posted October 10, 2004 I lost 4 ships but my carriers were at strength 10, 10 and 7, plus I had 2 fresh ships west of UK and 2 strength-7 ships in western Mediterranean. You had lost one luftwaffe, one tank, one corps in France and 4 out of 5 Italian naval units were sunk. I held Brest and Bordeaux and saved almost entire UK force from being trapped when Paris fell. My Brest and Bordeaux units were leaving and my Carriers were west of Sicily leaving the Mediterranean (but bombarding abit first to gain some XP). zappsweden Posted October 10, 2004 Author Share Posted October 10, 2004 The mid-game was getting much faster. My turns were just about moving 1-2 transports and 3-4 ships. Not much battles going on. I have been fooled before by moving the ships towards Southern Italy one turn to late and letting Italian ships escape when they enter the war. Another thing... if the list change that rapidly (playing one part of a game slow once makes you top-1), does that mean I get off the list just by failing LC on turn 2 and surrendering after 15 minutes? What was I supposed to think? Axis takes Paris in September, Axis lost 1 tank, 1 luftwaffe, 1 corps. Allies lost only 3? UK corps in France (rest of them operated to western France) and Italy lost 4 of their 5 naval units. You Dow 3-4 countries in a single blow and then say "Too slow, cu" and hit the quit button and did not surrender? Well... if we call the language layers and get them here they would perhaps agree with you (though you did not say you had saved until afterwards on the forum) . BUT, another thing the language lawyers would say is that you were GUILTY of reload cheat... Saving+Making moves afterwards (DOW). :eek: Another thing that comes in mind (just now remember it) is that you made air attacks just before you quit (after the save? Well only you would know that). You practically sniffed my Manchester air force when forcing it to intercept an odd attack on highly entrenched London corps. Hehehe, this is silly isn't it? I just wanna use the word suitable and that is HEAD-CRACKED. Axis is head-cracked in that game and will lose. You will get the minors like 3-4 months late (if u ever get Vichy now with the lack of naval support). But, sure, if you want to continue another day I accept it but I also do regard the game as practically over. But it does mean you have to play in "standard reasonable time". If you want to play these 20 minute per turn games, you've got the wrong Icon. I don't enjoy rebuking people, but I feel it's necessary. If there is no judgment, the slow play will continue. If your warned, you'd better act, because I'm not some Socialist Euro willing to sit in a public traffic jam, waiting for a government handout. In the United States, we are about speed, we have things like Federal Express, 24/7 stores, & Capitalism. We like speed, clocks, & enforcement (see Iraq war). Our slowest sport is baseball, but the umpire will tell the pitcher to hurry up. Euros play this silly little game without a known clock called soccor.
