Houserules :

1.No Tech whatsoever,not even anti-tank.

2.Restriction on airfleets :

Germany-2

UK-2

Russia-1

No bombers allowed

3.Airfleets can only attack corps,armies,HQ's

and other airfleets.

4.No aircraftcarriers allowed.

5.Only Germany may build subs.

6.One rocket (artillery unit) per country.(This

means Germany will get three-Germany,Austria,

Ottomans)

7.America in the war :

-If the Central Powers have DoWED neutrals,then

US may commit 3 armies,1 corps,1 HQ and 3 ships.

-If the CP's have not violated any neutrals,then

US may commit 1 army,1 corps,1 HQ and 2 ships.

-If the Triple Alliance has violeted any neutral,

US may not move at all.

8.Russia may ONLY reinforce on 2 first turn's,

except HQ's and naval units.

9.Serbian and Bulgarian units may not move outside

their respective borders.

10.Italy may not fight or cross the border untill

Allied turn of july 1915.(Italy is represented

by UK units so in SC terms Italy is neutral)

11.No violation of Turkish territory (land) untill

Axis turn of december 1914. (exception: Germans

can use straits)

This should be a blast, I've been looking for someone to play this with and I had a great time with Kurt in my 1st match vs a Human.

I much prefer WW1 history and battles to WW2.

Victory conditions are:

Paris falls: France surrenders.

London falls: UK surrenders.

Moscow falls: Russia surrenders.

On the 3th of august Belgium refused to let German troops pass through it's territory to strike at France.On the same day Germany decides to declare war on France.WWI begins.

In the week that follows countries in Europe take sides.

The Central Powers (Germany,Austria-Hungary and Turkey) stand against the Allies (France,Belgium,UK,Russia and later Italy).

First turn CP :

General Erich von Ludendorf commences the German offensive in the west.

Germany's 1st Army takes Brussels without any resistance.A bit more to the south the 5th Army attacks the Belgian Corps together with the 2nd Army destroying the weak corps.

A German Defence Corps moves into the Ardennes to attack the French 4th Army.

German troops boldly cross the Rhine to engage to French before they can settle in their Maginot line.German 4th Army engages it's French counterpart destroying fortifications and occupying a French mine along the way.6th Army also crosses attacking the French 1st Army and occuppies another Maginot fortification.

To close the gap between the 6th and 4th,German 3rd Army moves up across the line destroying the last Maginot hex.

German High Command is satisfied with the first reports from the western front.The Kaiser sends out messages to the American and Italian governements not to meddle in affairs they know nothing about and should have no interest in.

On the eastern front German troops reinforce and reorganize to engage the forces of the Tsar in the near future together with their Austrian allies.

In the Balkans the Turkish Istanbul corps moves north to engage Bulgarian rebels.In this action the Austrian corps in Sofia comes to aid it's Turkish friends,together they crush the rebels beyond combat effectivness.

Secret operations in the Med commence to bring the Central Power's fleet into a better position.

German High Command depends on it's superior U-boats to bring the odds in their favor.

Foreseeing a bloody occupation from the Central Powers the coutries of France, UK and USSR form and alliance that will be known as the Triple Alliance.

Russia, even though unprepared for war and not financially stable gathers its troops and starts to solidify a line to hold the CP at bay. They expect Warsaw to fall into enemy hands easily .

France has to regroup after seeing Belgium fall so swiftly and being caught off guard cost them some resources and the lost of their fortifications.

France puts the command of its Navy under UK control.

UK, also unprepared for war, apart from its formidable Navy, goes on the hunt for subs in the Altantic after reports of merchant marine ships being sunk. The enemy was found but at a deadly cost, a battleship fleet operating at 30% was sunk in a bold surprise attack. Another fleet engaged the enemy causing it moderate damage. The Atlantic will be swept of CP occupation.

In a bold move, France has sent diplomats to Italy to explain the situation and how it will affect them in the futur.

UK does the same in the US but the response is somewhat cold.

France finished off the last of the revolutionaries in Portugal and now has control of the country.

CP's turn 2.

The German offensive in the west thunders through Northern France!

After carefull considerations from High Command the von Schlieffen plan is put in to motion.

After the attacks across the Rhine to destroy the Maginot line,German forces now hook around the French defences through Belgium.Combined attacks from the 2nd,3th and 1st Army and the 2nd corps surprise the French 4th Army completely.Although it had just received fresh reinforcements,it was completely destroyed.Brave soldiers from Germany's Defence Corps rush along the Channel coast to close the line.

3 German Armies settle into defensive position on the once mighty Maginot line.

Citizens from nearby villages are rounded up to operate the mine in this area and production is already up to 80%.

In the east German forces under command of the newly appointed Field Marschall Paul von Hindenburg are being brought in position to attack Warsaw and liberate the Polish people from the horrible clutches of the Russian Tsar.Already one Russian army was spotted by zeppelin reconaissance leaving the vicinity of the soon to be liberated city.

In the Balkan area the Bulgarian Rebels were attacked by an Austrian corps and the Turkish Istanbul corps.The rebels lay burried.

In the hills of Serbia,seperatistic elements still remain active despite punishment expeditions of the local Austrian garrison corps.

The Austrian supreme commander,Conrad,is gathering troops to support his German allies to face the Russians.

The Turkish front was heavily reinforced.British and maybe French forces are believed to be Egypt in and might begin operations against the rich oilfields of the Ottoman Empire.

In the med the CP's fleet reaches secret bases.Strong Allied naval presence is suspected.More U-boats are being ordered.

The U-boat in the Atlantic goes into hiding after sinking an UK battleship.

More merchant ships are being sunk.

Kaiser Wilhelm II speaks to world:

We advise our American friends to stay neutral in this war.Germany will settle this issue once and for all.America's gains will be greater if they let the superior German army and it's allies conduct operations whithout US interference.'

The Triple Alliance formed because of treaties signed left and right in the past and because of those signatures were forced into a war they are not well prepared to fight but intend to tax the CP resources to its limit as they gather other Allies.

Italian diplomatic relations are going well and Italy is starting to build a heavy defensive force.

On the battle front, the Atlantic subs are being quite deceptive, they have escaped the clutches of the British armada.

France has fortified itself heavily with all the plunder it took from Portugal. This is now the time to dig in the trenches and hold the enemy, going on the offensive is not possible due to depleted resources.

UK is building itself up and is testing the possibilities of using planes as a tool for war.

Africa and the MED are currently under UK control and we intend to keep it like so. We expect Italy to be very displeased should the CP start moving about in the sea.

Russia is struggling to protect its western most cities knowing full well the CP will look into expansion.

USA is being quite relunctant to join although UK was told that it wished for a Triple Alliance victory.

A great storm will have to be weathered if the Triple Alliance is to win this war.

CP's turn 3

Rumors of flying English warmachines don't impress the German soldiers at the front.Already one of the prototypes was brought down by a Zeppelin unit above France.

On the western Front things are going still well for the imperial German troops.The 1st and 5th Army attacked the retreating French 5th Army.The commanding French General brought his sabre to the command post of the pursuing Germans.French POW's are being led back to prisoncamps on the Belgian border.von Moltke confirms to the US journalist in Berlin that the prisoners will be treated with all regards.

Previously the symphatic female US journalist had stumbled into the German morphin labs and was easily convinced !

Further attacks against the French were not so succesfull.But still High Command is certain that Paris will be reached in a few weeks,max a few months.

On the Balkan front the last of the Serbian seperatists were wiped out by a passing Austrian Army up to full strenght.

In the med and the Turkish front all guns are quiet,for now.

Hindenburg has his forces in position now for an attack to free Warsaw.Conrad will join him soon.

It's rumored the Austrians had a breakthrough in some top-secret research.Their arrival is eagerly awaited by the German East-front troops.

The Kaiser's third official communique :

'It seems our Italian friends are consorting with the Triple dudes.Germany will not stand for this!!Let them be warned.We can easily aim our guns at them as well!!

Russian strugles to secure its cites and mobilize troops, lack of resources is showing. In the hopes of slowing the CP advance into the motherland they have sent more troops into Warsaw.

The rest of the cites are all digging in.

UK is slowly combing through the Atlantic see for subs still without success.

The UK has sent a contigent of men to help the French cause, although quite limited it has landed behine enemy lines and should help to slow down as well as cut off supplies to the CP.

France is digging in fairly well and has managed to inflict casualties to a few corps and armies, none have yet to be destroyed. We expect the Germans to find this a frustrating attempt at invading France.

Italy is showing signs of distrust towards the CP, they do not make any political promises, they simply ask to stay out of this matter, how can Italy stay out of a situation that will ultimatly affect its people. Out of precaution, Italy will heavily garrison its borders.

CP's Turn 4

THE WAR IN THE EAST BEGINS !!

In a great effort of the Central powers,the capital of the Polish people was surrounded and almost liberated.Attacks by the 2nd Austro-Hungarian Army,the German 11th and 8th Corps,the German 8th and Reserve Armies and the revolutionary Armored force commanded by Conrad almost succeeded in destroying the Russian oppressor.

The Warsaw corps is estimated to suffered 70% losses.

In the west the weak-hearted French desperately clench to their defence positions.

Although Ludendorf admits that the war is turning immobile,he was proud to announce that again a complete French army was destroyed.Coordinated attacks of the 4th,3rd and 2nd Armies have destroyed the 3rd French Army.

The British corps that landed on the Channel coast behind German lines was immediately attacked by the 5th Army and 2nd Corps and isolated.

In the rest of Europe the powers of the Central Powers are being inforced.

Meanwhile in Berlin rumors are going around that the destruction of the French 3rd Army partially was achieved by the use of a new weapon.A weapon that could grant Germany victory in the west.

The CP use of chemical agents has not been well received in America. The UK diplomat is quite happy at Frances sudden tragedy.

France once again holds its lines and manages to inflict casualites to some German units, our leader is prooving his worth.

UK is somewhat silent in the conflict although it still hunts for subs even though they no longer threaten our shipping.

Russia is in a mad dash to secure a line from city to city but resources and just not enough.

The 3rd "A" is definitly having communication issues between them considering only France seems to be involved in confronting the enemy.

CP's Turn 5.

WARSAW LIBERATED !!

'Today our glorious forces have defeated the enemy once more!The Russian aggressor was driven out of the Polish capital with force.The 8th German Army launched it's attack in the early morning and caught the Tsaristic defenders unprepared for the onslaught.At 12.03 exactly Field Marshall von Hindenburg entered the city under thunderous applaus from the Polish people.'

To complete the festivities the Polish flag was raised on city hall.

German forces that had previously surrounded the capital are now beginning their march east to engage the army of the Tsar in the field.Already a full Polish army was created and joined their comrades.

The Austrian Army also reached the Russian border.

Reports show that the enemy is forming his line from Odessa in the south.Zeppelin scouting revealed that the city is defended by a corps in the city walls and the Russain 3rd Army just north of the city.

On the western front trenches are being build.Although some operations have begun to surprise the French with yet another unexpected blow.Operations this turn were less succesfull due to reinforcements arriving late at the front.

The landed UK corps was again attacked,this time the 2nd and 1st German corps reduced the invaders to 30% battleworth.The 2nd and 4th Army attacked a green French corps 2 hexes east of Paris reducing it to 3.Along the Channel coast the 1st Army and the German Defence corps attacked the French Called Up Army and hereby wiping out half their equipment and personel.

General Ludendorf :'We'll hold all the taken French ground at any cost.Furthermore our logistic forces have begon a major operation to bring us a new weapon the French wont be happy about.I still believe in the Fall of France.' German soldiers present at the speech cheered wildly,still full of enthousiasm.

Also the Turkish front was again reinforced.German engineers were sent over to share their expertise on trenchbuilding with our Turkish friends.Severral German volunteer units were sent along.

The Warsaw garrison held firm and managed to buy precious time for Mother Russia. Will this be enough, our Generals have every confidence it will be. All the Cities are properly reinforced and the border cities are preparing for the CP advance and intend to make this their stoping point.

A scout left Warsaw reporting that the CP have a new weapon a big battle vehicle. We have been doing research on this type of weapons ourselves but lack of resources is preventing us from having production models.

On the French front, trenches a getting muddy.

But the Germans are discovering that the French do not intend to have their land pillage by Barbarians.

UK is not showing much signs of involvement, they will have to act soon to tax the enemy on more than 2 fronts.

Italy continues to fortify its borders, seeing the Germans piling up troops close to the mountains is a sign of bad things to come.

Sub hunting continues in the Atlanic, still no merchant vessels attacked.

UK diplomats in the US are doing good work with politicans but the American people are not concerned with the infightings of Europe. Most of them are people who left Europe to forget about all the mayhem of so many countries, religions, ethnicities and languages which so often causes conflicts.

They have other things they consider more important, a life of luxury.

CP's Turn 5 :

Ludendorf :

'Our grand logistic forces have performed a miracle.In over a month of hard continous labour they have provided the German troops with the ultimate weapon on the western front.Now we will harrash the French day and night with shelling.We shall give them not a minute of rest.They will cry out for their mothers when they crawl out of their shattered defences only to find their lives to end at he sharp end of a German bajonet.

German logistic forces move 'Die Grosse' into position

There was more good news on the western front as the landed British corps was totally destroyed by actions of 2nd corps and the Armor of the Austrian commander Conrad.Again good logistic actions made sure our victory in the west is cared for!

A fresh reinforced French corps was attacked by the 2nd,4th and 3rd Army reducing it to 1.Our brave but badly battered Defence corps was taken out of the line for a deserved rest and refitting.Other German armies were reinforced and saw little action.

In the east the forces of the Central Powers commence their march into Russia.

Three Austro-Hungarian armies are marching on to Odessa.

Other units or scouting the way to Kiev were two Russian armies have been identified: 2nd Warsaw army and 5th Russian army.

the Kaiser :

'Europe stands on the dawn of a new beginning.Germany will restore order and peace wherever necessary.To our friends in the US I say : Do not doubt our good intentions.If the American people would like things to come to an end in Europe,they will soon see that the right cause prevailed.' Do not let those tea-drinking ,tennis-playing ,stuck up excuses for gentlemen cloud your vision!!'

It is obvious to us the CP do not intend to fight an honorable war. This new weapon of theirs can not be attacked, it stays deep behind their lines and fires away explosives. We also have the possibility of using such weapons, we intended not to do so and fight honorably. Now the CP have shown their cowardice and we will show them our resolve.

On the French front the CP are also taking moderate casualties.

The Atlantic has prooved successfull in sinking 4 subs, we expect them to run once again.

Italy has agreed to not support the CP in this conflict, although it has stated it will not take offensive against them it will fight and protect its land from invasion. Also, all trading is now cancelled with the CP.

Russia is slowly building its forces, it is a slow process but it is training new army contigents, which is much preferable than sending enlisted men to their deaths.

CP's Turn 6

Dire news from the Atlantic!U-boat U-9 was discovered by the enemy.After weeks of harassing merchant ships and cleverly evading the enemy's surface fleet,the crew now has sent what will probably be it's last communication message.

'U-9 reports.We are currently under heavy attack.Depth charges are coming down on us in dozens at a time.Still we have managed to evade the enemy untill now.We are even proud to report that although we are hunted the hunter in us has not died.At 06.00 hours this morning U-9 succesfully launched several torpedoes on a pursuing French cruiser sinking it.As of now we are on the run ,richly enjoying our latest victory.Hopes of escape are getting fewer as more and more Allied ships come to attack us.But we will continue to fight as best as we can for our Kaise.... -- end of report

Germany holds it's breath,will it hear from U-9 again or will the enemy bring her down now she is wounded?

German High Command,now more eagerly than ever,sets in motion plan Wasserwurst.German fleet commanders all over the world are being notified in coded messages to set the wheels in motion.

Our comrades of U-9 will not be forgotten!The German Navy will now begin,after months of preparations,to challenge the fleet of the British and the French.

In the west the war rages on.Casualties are getting heavier by the day.Still,due to the superiority of the German armies it seems the French are still bleeding the most.

Combined attacks of the two German elite armies,the 4th and the 2nd, have brought about the complete and utter destruction of the French 1st Army.Primi Francori are no more!

The revolutionary armored forces under the command of the brave Austrian commander Conrad swings in from the rear to attack the 2nd French Army from newly conquered ground.Following attacks are made by the 6th and 5th German Army knocking the French down to 1.

Not far from the Channel coast 1st Army attacks the Called Up French Army with little succes.

Corpses in the rear are being reinforced.

Due to technical malfunctions the super weapon,Die Grosse, has not seen any action yet and is currently being dismantled to be repositioned.

Soldiers of the 1st French Army desperately fighting,to no avail.

In the east our forces for the first time are engaged on Russian soil.Just outside Kiev the 2nd Austro-Hungarian Army and the new Polish volunteer's Army attacked the Russian 5th Army.Reports show that at least half of the Russian battle capacity was destroyed.

More and more forces are being brought into position to attack the city.

The last of the wolfpack is destroyed in the Atlantic, he managed to damage one of our fleets. We now prepare for a fight with the rest of the German fleet. They will see the might of the british Navy, we are not the greatest Naval armada of all time for no reason!

In France the UK has proven their involvement in the WAR by doing a bold landing once again and this time they brought 2 contigents.

France has striken back at the German offensive, once again only causing moderate casualties.

The Italian border to Germany is sealed off and troops eye each other down in the trenches. Every Italian city is now occupied by the military.

Russia has met the enemy at the gates of the city and for once in this war the enemy has suffered more casualties. Our boot camps are doing quite well at training soldiers.

CP's Turn 7.

No more communications are being received from U-9.German High Command fears for the worst.And indeed,after reports from Abwehr agents in London,it is confirmed that the U-9 lies at the bottom of the Atlantic.With conforting letters send to the relatives of the German soldiers aboard the U-9,High Command swears to avenge their deaths.

He died in 1941 conducting operations in the North Atlantic.

On the western front for the second time British forces have landed behind our lines.German High Command is furious.Obviously von Ludendorf hasn't learned from his mistakes and was instantely replaced by general Erich von Falkenhayn.The new commander conducts operations quite differently.He seeks to have more mobility on the line by creatively rotating his forces.And this new approach seems to work well for the Germans.

To counter the invasion forces Conrad's armor is sent to Brussels to attack the British in the back and with the aid of the tired and battered 2nd corps one of the two British corpses was destroyed.Further the second French Army was totally cought off guard by new tactics von Falkenhayn has put to use.The elite 2nd and 4th Army with the help of the 6th destroyed the French in their trenches.The French Joffre HQ now lies vulnarable to attacks.The Defence Corps was brought in again from the rear to close the line.

'Die Grosse' came in to action but it seems that the operating crew stills needs some more practice.

In the east the CP were dealt a fierce blow by the Russians but have countered with a ferocity not yet shown in this war.After pulling the 2nd Austro-Hungarian out of the line for reinforcements and refitting,von Hindenburg showed his military genuis by conducting a bold counter-attack.Because of actions of the Polish Army,the Austrian Balkan Army,the German 1st corps and the newly formed Kaiser Army the 3rd Russian Army is no more.

Other actions on the russian front were taken place south of Kiev.The 1st Austro-Hungarian Army and a Turkish navy cruiser commenced the siege of Odessa.So far no noteworthy progress has been made.

The Motherland will show the Fatherland that our troops are well perpared, although not many, they are more than able to inflict casualties as was proven when the Germans lost a whole army group.

Another Army battalion has finished training and was sent to the front.

With France keeping the Germans at bay this is giving enough time for the Russians to train more troops.

On the Western front, once again the unloading of UK corps in Belgium forced the Germans to fallback with some units, giving France more breathing space. The French are eternally gratefull for these sacrifices.

Our general staff fell back to avoid taking enemy fire at the front.

Canada is prooving it is commited to the Tripple Alliance cause, it has sent an Army group to releive a less trained corps group to Italy on the German border.

Italy has supply issues and will quite possibly not be able to participate offensively but will be able to adequatly defend itself.

CP's Turn 8,

PARIS REACHED !!!

German High Command is pleased to announce that the German 1st Army has reached the outskirts of Paris.After heavy fighting on the banks of the Somme French troops were defeated and general von Falkenhayn immediately took the inniative to send the 1st Army towards Paris.

When the people in Berlin heard the news of this glorious victory,festivities broke out.Thousands came on the streets carrying pictures of the Kaiser and General von Falkenhayn.

The battle commenced in the early morning when the 3rd and 2nd Army surprised a French corps.The enemy was completely defeated and 1st Army jumped into the gap in the French lines towards Paris while attacking the Called Up French Army.

For this brilliant action and breakthrough von Moltke, supreme commander of the German armed forces, promoted von Falkenhayn to Field Marshall in the West.

In other actions Conrad's armor attacked the second British corps that landed.It was supported by the 5th Army.To the south,near the Swiss border the 4th and 6th Army attacked another French Corps reducing it to 2.

After the defeat of the Polish Army,von Hindenburg reorganizes the frontline using the von Falkenhayn-doctrine.Units in need of reinforcements and new equipment are being sent to the rear while at the same time attacks are being made.

The German Called Up Army,together with the 8th Army attacked the Russian 4th Army reducing it to 30%.Another,unidentified, Russian army was attacked by the Austro-Hungarian Balkan Army with support of the 11th German corps.The Russian army was brought back to half it's strenght.

France is doing its best to avoid falling to the enemy, extensive trenches are built in Paris.

British units were sent through the canal to help the cause.

People and military evacuated Somme shelters

On the East front, the Russians once again managed to eliminate a battalion. Lack of resources have once again become an issue, enlisting men of the streets to form a Corps. Re-inforcements are on the way, hopefully they'll arrive in good time.

In Africa a scouting party was sent forward to look at enemy positions, the cities seem to be highly protected with Army units.

The war in Europe keeps on raging.Never before has mankind witnessed such a slaughter.The warring countries are strained for men and it's societies are drained for the wareffort.

Germany is fighting on three fronts now.

A special call went out the the women of the Reich to volunteer and take service in the auxiliary forces and the medical units operating near the frontlines.

Meanwhile on the western front German advance towards Paris is continuing.Field Marshall von Falkenhayn again made a bold move the French and British weren't expecting.German 1st Army was send north to engage the landed British corps,and with the help of the 2nd Munich Corps the enemy was defeated.

Southeast of Paris another French corps was destroyed by actions of 2nd and 3rd Army,permitting 4th Army to move on towards Paris and even attacking the French HQ not far off.Panic must have struck the minds of many Frenchmen.6th Army followed in the path of the 4th leaving the Defence Corps to close the line.

Again we move closer towards our main price !!

In the east progress is more slow,but still steady.

The 2nd Warsaw Army was surprised by the Called Up Army ,the 8th Army and the Austro-Hungarian Balkan Army.The enemy was completely wiped out.North of Kiev the new Deutschland Army attacked the 13th Russian Army with very little succes.

On the Odessa front the Goeben Cruiser and a Turkish Navy cruiser bombarded the garisson in the city reducing it to 40%.Further secret troop movements are being conducted.

It is the opinion of German High Command that the war in the east will be a long one,but at the same time it is certain that the Russian economy won't be able to sustain the wareffort properly to defeat the Central Powers.
