Man, I was ==| |== this close to calling in sick, but my wife countered with the "well there are lots of things to do around the house" defense. She was well dug in, and I didn't have the reserves (I was up late playing SC don't ya know) to root her out of her position. I did the next best thing... I brought the game to work! Our newborn is complicit in my new-found timesink; I get the 10pm feeding, put him to bed, then am free to play until about 1:30am before finally hitting the hay. Try bouncing the child on your knee while playing, and give the child a history lesson at the same time!
