Praetorian
Notelrac sent a post yesterday asking whether there was any difference between normal and blitz attacks and no answer was forthcoming. This would be handy to know, although I certainly haven't noticed any having played the demo extensively. Isn't it slightly unrealistic that a unit can move 200km and then attack but can't attack and then move even 50km? I would have thought one idea would be that if land unit that hasn't moved carries out an attack which destroys the enemy and takes no casualties in the process it should be allowed to move, I think some other games have used this 'over-run' type rule (Panzer General did I think which is still one of my all-time faves). Also are rear or flank attacks advantagous any bearing and do you get a combat bonus if you engage an enemy unit on more than one (or two) sides? Not knocking the game by the way - I think it's superb and the postie hasn't even handed it to me yet!!
Hubert Cater
In terms of combat formulas there is no difference taken between a blitz or normal attack. Hubert
Guest Mike
Um...so why differentiate them in the documentation??
Hubert Cater
It wasn't a differentiation in terms of what may be better or not, rather a description of what kinds of attack are possible and how to do them. Hubert
