  1. Panzerblitz - now your talking! It used to sound like WW2 when me and my brother sat down for a game - apparently being one year younger meant I could never be correct in Line od Sight decisions!! I still have fond memories of those 3 folding map boards
  2. I would only ask that you make the Jagdpanther the tech. level 5 icon as I love it so much I wouldn't want to upgrade any more!! Good work fella!!
  3. Well at least you managed to get married - I don't rate my chances as my fiance is threatening to walk out of the door if I don't start paying her more attention than my PC! Why don't women understand the basic need of men to control the entire world
  4. Notelrac sent a post yesterday asking whether there was any difference between normal and blitz attacks and no answer was forthcoming. This would be handy to know, although I certainly haven't noticed any having played the demo extensively. Isn't it slightly unrealistic that a unit can move 200km and then attack but can't attack and then move even 50km? I would have thought one idea would be that if land unit that hasn't moved carries out an attack which destroys the enemy and takes no casualties in the process it should be allowed to move, I think some other games have used this 'over-run' type rule (Panzer General did I think which is still one of my all-time faves). Also are rear or flank attacks advantagous any bearing and do you get a combat bonus if you engage an enemy unit on more than one (or two) sides? Not knocking the game by the way - I think it's superb and the postie hasn't even handed it to me yet!!
  5. Has anyone tried investing heavily in Rocket research yet, and is it worthwhile? I'm still awaiting the full game to arrive in the post (I'm in England), and I haven't bothered with Rockets in the demo. Am I right in thinking they have a long range strike capability at the higher tech. levels? Also one geographical note that no-one else will care about - why is the port in South-East England called Gillingham? The naval base is (or was - as it is now just a 'historic dockyard') at Chatham. The only reason I care is because I was born there!
