veki
Hello, Two questions: 1. Did infantry which is under attack in forest hex or in mountain hex get some defense bonus or did attacking unit if it is in river hex get penalty points etc.? 2. If yes, how can player calculate this defense bonus - penalty points? Thanks in advance. Veki.
SuperTed
Veki, Open or forest hexes have a maximum entrenchment value of 2, but it is 4 for a mountain hex. Attacking from a river hex reduces a unit's effectives. I don't know exactly how much, but it is significant.
blackbellamy
I think forest gives a bonus vs air strikes. It seems like units in forest don't get hurt as much as ones in the open.
Straha
- How are things with attacking into/defending on a riverhex? Is the defender weakened? Or is there really only a penalty with attacking from such a hex? (This would engender totally different strategies for a retreating defender.) - Do mountains give no immediate defense bonus (besides the possibility to entrench further, which needs some time)?
