Frenchy
For those interested, a new book on the action concerning Operation Nordwind and the battle of Wingen. Here's the link: http://www.aegis-consulting.com/zoepf.html I am looking forward to this book. My grandfather's division, as Task Force Herren, faced this unit at Wingen. The 2nd Bn/274th was awarded Presidential Unit Citation for its action at Wingen. ------------------ Webmaster http://www.trailblazersww2.org http://www.vmfa251.org

Frenchy
Just received my copy. This book is a must! Many maps depicting unit location, in some instances, at platoon level! For those interested in the Russian Front, especially the Northern sector, this is a must read. The majority of the book covers the battle of Wingen in Alsace. The 6th SS Nord made the move from east to west to participate in Nordwind. I give it 5 stars out of 5! Go to the link in the first entry to order this book. You won't be disappointed! ------------------ Webmaster http://www.trailblazersww2.org http://www.vmfa251.org
