Mr. Johnson--
I had an interesting idea the other day. Watching the AI send it's troops into another meatgrinder on the attack again. I noticed just how easy it is to scare the AI's troops. All you have to do is panic a platoon or company HQ and the chances of the soldiers continuing forward is greatly reduced. So how about from now on, when scenario designers are making a scenario which they intend the AI to attack, lets give the AI 2 Elite Battlion HQs with at least +2 Command and +2 moral so the AI can put in a better showing. It will give their soldiers some nice moral overlap. well what do ya think?
Redwolf
There is a similar thread on the Tips and Tricks forum where people outlined some ideas to improve AI in scenarios. But your idea comes in on top of that. Obviously, you want to give the AI these units: - first infantry, maybe already placed in good LOS positions - more infantry - then thick AFVs and arty spotters as reinforcements - then thinner, more dangerous vehicles as reinforcements For the human player it is - thin vehicles first - some infantry - thicker vehicles at a point in time where he should already be threatend to be overrun - more infantry The first infantry should do agressive recon, and making them crask or elite and morale 2+ HQs sounds good. They should be fragile, so 7 or 8 men squads sound in order.
Mr. Johnson--
I already stick some of the heavy weapons locked in place in front of the main body with nice LOS. But some interesting ideas.
