PipBoy
Maybe this has been suggested before, I haven't been around that long. My thought is that I'd like to be able to contain my game plan within the game itself by adding a note-taking feature. Right click on a spot on the map, a small text window pops up. That way you could tag a note onto that hill over there "objective alpha--place 2 spotters, turn 3". Of course include a shift key toggle to turn them off. If you wanted to take it a step further, add the ability to draw arrows and such on the map to indicate your ideas for troop movement. If I have several PBEM games going, I may not remember all the intricate details of my battle plans, especially if someone forgets to send a turn for a couple days. Yes, you could print out the map and write on it, but that's a hassle. Comments?
Midnight Warrior
I would very much like to have that feature. Also, I would like to be able to post notes for each unit.
Michael Emrys
I understand TacOps has a system of overlays, but I haven't used it and don't know much about it. In any event, it's a 2D game and the graphics problems might be different. Still...you never know. Michael
Stefan Fredriksson
I am no programmer, but... let's say the notes can only be visible from views 5-8. Then I do not *think* it would be so hard to implement, would it? The idea is good. In my wish-list this comes right after being able to shift color on unit-bases. Ron
Check out this nifty program 20/20 You are able to create the JPEG then draw on it, annotate it, zoom in and out, crop it and print it etc. Worth looking into if 'planning' on a map is desired. Maastrictian
Landmarks can be created in the scenario editor using ctrl-left click in the Map screen. Its not arrows, but its the first half of what you are talking about. --Chris
PipBoy
Not really, I don't think you can do that in the middle of a game. I'm talking about an easy to use planning tool.

I'm going to have to try it, sounds fun.
