Triggerhappy
Is ammo for the famed Nahverteidigungswaffe modelled in CM? I think there was a thread about this some time ago but I was unable to find it. I'm asking this because in a recent TCP/IP game there was an immobilized Panther standing between some scattered trees that was shooting his Nahverteidigungswaffe for several turns, killing quite a few of my men before they were finally able to knock it out in a close assault. Mattias
It is a pretty safe bet to assume that the grenades are handled just like ordinary hand grenades. I have not seen any indication of anything else at least. Personally I have never seen any one tank fire more than three or four in a whole game, so I never considered the issue. Realistically though you would expect a tank to have a dozen or perhaps two of the HE grenades when loaded up. I have the “exact” figure for the tiger somewhere here but I can’t seem to find it right now. M. Stacheldraht
Fwiw, the Nahverteidigungswaffe on the Panther fired 26mm smoke, signal flare, or anti-personnel grenades. It was fixed at a 50 degree angle but could traverse 360 degrees.
