TerrorX
I was just curious if there were recomended battles and or operations that would span the entire Eastern Front from start to finish, whatever year it would finish would probably depend on who was victorious or not. Ive been away from the game for a bit so excuse this post if it has been answered elsewhere.
Mark Gallear
I don't think so - as the operation systems represents just a few days of battle - a turn in an operation a few hours - so that a day would consists of a number of operation turns. If you want that kind of a time series in a campaign play Steel Panthers:World at War. Mark

Also try East Front II (Campaign Series, Talonsoft)

benpark
Check the Biltong Gold thread in the CMBB section, and his site: http://w1.211.telia.com/~u21117402/biltong/ He and his team have put together a great methodology for playing a linked "campaign".
jwxspoon
The Boots & Tracks team is working on a mini campaign to be played single player against the AI, a series of half a dozen battles to be played as either the Russians or Germsn (two separate 'career' tracks). These campaigns will culminate in a large 2 player battle utilizing both campaigns. jw ** Edited for lack of grammar [ February 14, 2003, 08:52 AM: Message edited by: jwxspoon ]
TerrorX
Have East front 2 gold loaded on the HD still, but after being exposed to cmbo/cmbb its hard to go back to it. Bitlongs seems to be my answer, downloaded all the docs, a bit overwhelming at first glance but interesting. Thanks for the replies, Mark
benpark
For pure insanity you could use Schwerpunky Games "Russo German War 1941-44" as a strat overlay, then resolve each battle with CMBB. It would take you 3 consecutive lifetimes, but it would be great! RGW- http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/
