Tanks a Lot
Cubbies Phan kept reminding me to do a winter version of my concrete bunker, so I gave it a shot. I removed all the moss and vegetation and put dead branches instead. Added snow around the base and icicles above the firing slit. Unfortunately I can't put snow on the roof without the whole side being covered in snow.
Cubbies Phan
Looks good. I'll take 3 of them. [ 10-12-2001: Message edited by: Cubbies Phan ]
lcm1947
Hey that's cool looking. Good job it looks very nice and cold. Love the dead branches nice touch. So what would be wrong with snow on the side? Have you seen what it would look like. You do know that the wind could build up snow on one side don't you ? You might see what it would look like. It might be fine looking but if you've already tried it - never mind but I am thinkin it might just be worth trying, well unless you have a job or something. But no it looks great and needed. Thanks. Cubbies Phan
Well instead of doing what lcm1947 was saying, you could just "speckle" the entire concrete area to make it look like snow is sticking to it in places. As it probably would. Ever see concrete in snow. Snow tends to stick to it. [ 10-12-2001: Message edited by: Cubbies Phan ]
Tanks a Lot
Does this look better? Edited to change picture. [ 10-12-2001: Message edited by: Tanks a Lot ]
Cubbies Phan
No, no, no. That's not what I meant. I meant like just some clups of snow around the entire concrete part. Maintain the exposed concrete, just add clumps of snow here and there.
Dogface21
I think it looks good, I like the effect. If I were a german in a bunker in the snow, Id sure as hell try to make it blend in. But the snow and ice would be cool in a patchier( is that a word?) style too. The icicles are perfect. Good werk.
Tanks a Lot
I changed the picture in my last post. Reduced the snow quite a bit.
