Detroit Guy Posted June 27, 2001 Share Posted June 27, 2001 Is there any way in-game to get a overall look at a units LOS and/or penetration possiblities VS armor? Seems akward to have to guess at penetration , and also not to be able to see a units line of site arc without actially making a point to point check with the LOS command. Most all modern tactical games i've played have some sort of "turn LOS on" type command, giving overlapping fire arcs, ranges, etc. There may be something in CM like this but i just dont see it. dumrox Posted June 27, 2001 Share Posted June 27, 2001 You can press Enter with a unit selected and bring up detailed information which (for units with AT capabilities) will show a penetration chart. Also, when in targeting mode, placing your cursor over an enemy AFV gives a "to hit" and kill estimation. JasonC Posted June 27, 2001 Share Posted June 27, 2001 The way to check the LOS "arc style" is to turn on the LOS tool and then drag it around instead of releasing the endpoint. You can "scan" by dragging the aim point over the map, and where the line is blue is where you can see. The brighter the blue, the clearer the LOS.
