kump
This news just in. Folks in Apex North Carolina dialed 911 upon hearing a loud moaning noise followed by a muffled explosion. Police and paramedics arrived on the scene and entered the house which was reported as being the source of the explosion. No occupant was found and no structural damage discovered, but the remains of what appeared to be biological matter was splattered on the walls. After several specialists took samples, it was discovered to be the same blood type of the occupant of the home. An expert in the field of unusual biological occurances resulting in unexplicable phenomena stated, "It appears the occupant of this house, the late Garry Kump, has fallen victim to a rare occurance of 'Anticipation Eruption'. This may happen when many days have passed where the victim has undergone an enormous amount anticipation, which is repeatedly rewarded with disappointment. It is an uncommon occurance, but one that is disastrous if left untreated." The police are still investigating the cause of this Anticipation Eruption. Detective Will Ferguson had this to say about the leads so far obtained. "We are still examining the victim's residence. Upon searching the computer, we discovered several e-mails and a program called 'Combat Mission Gold Demo' that we believe may have been the root cause of this tragedy. So I would say Combat Mission is our number one suspect, but the evidence is still being examined. We have tried to pick up Combat Mission for questioning, but we can't find it anywhere. We have agents waiting at the local post office to take Combat Mission into custody, if and when it appears." This has been a news update from Apex, North Carolina. Forgive me, I'm twiddling my thumbs on this board waiting for my pre-order [This message has been edited by kump (edited 06-24-2000).]
sbg2112
i'm also in apex (well, technically Cary, but my mailing address is Apex), and my CM buddy is in Cary. We haven't gotten it yet either (see my Ambush Fatigue thread), but we are eagerly expecting it today. Hmmm. I almost used the word "anticipation". You don't think we're susceptible to this, do you?
