Toad
Mine is hopefully one of the orders that will begin shipping this week ... In the mean time, while I'm waiting for the full game and manual, could some one please describe how to use the "ambush" command? I have managed to stick multiple bull's eyes all over a map in my experimenting, but I don't know how to remove them, or how my forces will act if I tell them to target them. Thanks! ------------------ -- Toad Ontario, Canada
Lorak
You use your HQ unit to set up the ambush site. Then have a hiden unit target the ambush marker. Your units then fire only when the ememy approches the marker. Troop quality plays a factor in how soon your troops open fire. The better troops will wait longer before springing the trap. Untargeted ambush markers go away after the turn. Also, remember that AT weapons can set thier own ambush points. Thats the quick and dirty. Need more clarification.. just ask. Formerly Babra
After your units target the ambush marker, issue a "hide" command to them. It helps. If enemy units approach from some complete other direction, your units will defend themselves, so no worries there.
DrD
Babra, According to read-me troops automatically hide when asked to target an ambush marker.
Wesreidau
Thanks for the tip guys, I always wondered about Ambush markers. I never had my guys target them before, no wonder my ambushes were so few and far between.
