Phoenix
Meaning, can one CD spawn to another PC on a LAN to allow for 2 players? I hate to say it, but at $40+ a copy, I am not keen on buying 2 copies so I can play against my pal. I know there was talk of this going in, just wonder if it did. Guest PeterNZ
I'd say you might have to wait for a patch or CM2 for that feature. however, you and your buddy can always hotseat with a Real Beer and some food.. lots of fun :> PeterNZ
killmore
BTS? Can you unswer please - will I be able to play with my friend on two machines I got at home?
Guest hunt52
Not BTS but... 1. TCP/IP play did not make it IIRC so you would have to play PBEM or ICQ games... 2. Hotseat is your friend - Bill
Guest Captain Foobar
Yeah, how could multiplayer spawning be in right now, if there isnt TCP/IP yet? I guess what you are asking is *will it be a capability of the TCP/IP play*....
Compassion
No,. the question is "Do you have to have the CD in the drive to play?" If so, can you run off a network CD? [This message has been edited by Compassion (edited 03-29-2000).]
Guest Big Time Software
Spawning is a non-issue until we get in TCP/IP networking. Sure, in theory you can play PBEM against someone, but in practice few will use this option in a local way (i.e. the way spawning works). No, CM will not be playable off a network CD and you must have the CD in the drive to play. Steve
