tar Posted July 12, 2000 Share Posted July 12, 2000 How hard would it be to add some measure of the relative rarity of different units to the "Purchase Units" windows? Something simple such as just rating each unit on a 1-10 scale in the textual description would suffice and give those players who want to have more representative units some guidance as to how common things might be. For example (making up numbers off the top of my head): Infantry Platoon (10) Flamethrower (1) Airborne Infantry Platoon (3) This would also be useful to non-historic scenario designers. IntelWeenie Posted July 12, 2000 Share Posted July 12, 2000 Since CM started as "computerized Squad Leader", I feel safe saying this: If you can get a copy (I might be able to get this for you if I can find my ASL stuff), use the vehicle rarity charts from the Advanced Squad Leader manual. From what I can tell, they are pretty accurate (the values are tracked by year and month) and easy to read. The only bad part is they only cover vehicles and artillery, not troops.
