Guest tom w Posted April 25, 2000 Share Posted April 25, 2000 Things like numbers and statistics and questions regarding the calculations behind the game like exactly how long after an AFV looses sight of its target will it attempt to acquire a new target, and exactly how deep into a the scattered woods do you have to be to stay out of sight of the enemy's pesky LOS tool. Will it answer questions like; what exactly is the modified defense value of a hull down tank? how does that hull down modifier actuallyn work into the calculations Despite all the whining and complaining I think mostly we are all huge fans of this great new game. I must admit I'm looking forward to studying the manual in depth as I would presume that those of us who choose to read the manual cover to cover may in fact gain some small tactical insight into how to use all the tools and weapons and features in the game most efficiently. ok I'm ready... My OPINION/GUESS (which isn't what your lookin' for) is that these SPECIFIC details won't be covered. I assume the manual will cover all the interface details and applying tactics in CM (I'm sure it will be KICK-ASS ). But the details you are asking for I believe go "against the grain" of what BTS is striving for with CM. Admittedly I can't speak for what exactly Steve & Charles intend with CM, but from what I gather the details that you want are a bit on the "micromanagement side" that BTS says they don't want to pursue.
