Guest Captitalistdoginchina
I have just purchased a new PC, an Athlon 900 with 256MB RAM and a Hurcules GeForce 2 GTS with 64MB RAM. I have now installed 2 LAN Cards to my new PC and my old P333 128MB RAM and a TNT2 16MB card. My question - is CM going to be supported by LAN play? or did i just waste my money with the network cards and cables?? Has anyone else networked their computers to play CM on a LAN? howardb
TCP/IP isn't ready yet but if you really wants to use your lan you can share a folder on both machines and swap PBEM files heh heh
Hawk
...and just in case you didn't know: you can use TCP/IP on a LAN as well as the internet! Hawk
gashford
I have played on a LAN and used the PBEM on a shared folder as suggested, it isn't as cumbersome as it may seem when you first think about it, just setup your PBEM folder as a shared folder with full read/write and then away you go. Good fun, but I look forward to true TCP/IP support as well.
Guest Captitalistdoginchina
Thanks for the replies, does anyone know how the move sequence is likely to be - will it be like a hotseat game? Personnaly i cannot wait to play it on a LAN.
