coe
Ok, ok, one thing I was curious about was looking at some of the streetfighting, At various battles, railway streetcars were turned over, for road blocks, cars were smouldering on the street, rubble, etc. and then some battles began after another already had taken place so you'd have wrecks of trucks, tanks, etc. burning... I've seen that wrecks are kept track of in the operations but can we preposition ones in the various scenarios? burning ones too? perhaps CM2 can add something that can be easily destroyed or already destroyed like civilian vehicles - the horror of navigating through it! Jeff Heidman
Hey, don't worry about it! If CM2 does wrecks the way CM1 does, then they do not really exist unless they are burning. Currently, wrecks do not effect LOS. At all. I sure hope that changes for CM2... Jeff
bazooka10165
Live tanks do not affect line of sight. I believe that wrecks (burning or otherwise) do.
Jeff Heidman
Bazooka, I think you are incorrect. I am almost certain that dead vehicles do NOT effect LOS. If they are burning, then the smoke that they generate DOES, but the vehicle itself does not. Jeff Heidman

deanco
Hi cward, I believe you can, or at least try. This is apparently a tactic during Operations, setting vehicules ablaze stops the enemy from repairing them and using them in subsequent Battles. At least that's what I've read here. RudeLover
I was confused, and searched. Do (non burning) wrecks block LOS? This old thread says they do: [url="http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/Forum1/HTML/002266.html
Guest dirkd1976
I really hope BTS implements wrecks blocking LOS for CM2. How much fun would that be to have burning tanks in the steets of Stalingrad that infanty can hide or seek cover behind. Thats a must have IMHO.... ------------------ Never mistake motion for action - Ernest Hemingway
coe
well I know that smoking wrecks block los but to be able to preposition wrecks might do wonders for movement esp down a narrow street, like civilian cars, trucks, random tank here and there...... good for scenario design...
