CM and golf

Recommended Posts

Well, it had to happen.

I'm on the golf course this morning for our company league. I'm riding around in my .50 cal jeep (golf cart), shouting orders at the corporal (my partner), readying my 60 mm mortar (a wedge from the bag), and area targeting the open ground 100 meters away(the green).

It is a beautiful shot but the wind causes the mortar (ball?) to drift further than expected. The mortar (ball??) hits some scattered trees behind the open ground (green??) causing a tree burst (leaves fall from tree).

A sound contact is made after the tree burst. I ask the corporal (partner??), "What do you hear?"

He looks at me and says, "Sounds like, 'you sonofabitch!' You shoulda yelled, 'fore' or something."

I say, "Quick! Drop smoke on that hill and call in the armor!"

He says, "You want to take a mulligan?"

I say, "Yes, hurry up and reload!"

He says, "Are you feeling OK?"

I say, "Take cover! Tracers!"

*Where does a game end and real life begin?*

Assimilate me already!
