The Commissar Posted December 8, 2000 Share Posted December 8, 2000 This is probobly something I did without realizing it, so I'd appreciate anyone telling me how to fic this. My user name and password do not get stored even though I clearly specified in my prefs that I wanted them stored. What gives? It worked fine before, but my computer had its HD cleared and it does not work anymore. Chupacabra Posted December 8, 2000 Share Posted December 8, 2000 Make sure that your browser is set to allow cookies. For IE 5.0, go to Tools/Internet Options/Security/Custom Level. Next go into preferences and delete all the cookies created by this forum, there is an option there to do that. Then update preferences again and be sure to check yes for storing the board user name and password for one year and then submit the changes. aka_tom_w Posted December 8, 2000 Share Posted December 8, 2000 Me too I'm on a Mac using Netscape 4.76 it used to work FINE all the time I figured when I upgraded to communicator 4.76 that browser didn't actuallyy work correctly sometime it knows me and sometimes it does not ususlly I have to fill it out its a pain come to think of it , doesn't work right in I.E. either? not sure where the problem is? -tom w Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
