Mr. Clark
OK, I have USED the S E A R C H feature! Do you know how many results you get when searching for HQ??? Perhaps I'm just edgy becuase I'm trying to quit smoking... Anyhoo, here's my question: Who are ALL THOSE GUYS in an HQ Unit? Thanks!
Daveman
I'd figure a Company CO (6) consists of: 1 Captain/Hauptmann 2 or so executives (lieutenants, sergeants) 2 or so men to operate/haul radio equipment plus a few extras A platoon/battalion would have essentially fewer/more of the same. ------------------ “Out in front every one is holding out. Every one. My grenadiers and my engineers and my tank crews – they’re all holding their ground. Not a single man is leaving his post. They are lying silent in their foxholes for they are dead.” – Gen. Fritz Bayerlein on an order to hold his position
Airborne
Plus, a couple of guys could be runners. One would definately be humpin the radio. ------------------ Land Soft--Kill Quiet

Guest Michael emrys
Battalion and up contain a lot of admin and logistics guys as well as signalers, cooks, drivers, medics, etc., etc. They also tend to have special weapons units attached to them, like AT and AA guns. The higher up the food chain you go, the larger and larger the headquarters and attached units get. Michael
