Keith
Just wondering if star shells for night battles and bridge demolitions (pre-wired or wired during battle with engineer support) simulated?
Moon
No to both. Short explanation: Bridge demolition is really a very special situation that CM was not really designed for. Star shells, according to an internal beta team discussion, seem not to have been used much for anything but giving signals. The illumination effects of a starshell are mediocre at best and often help the enemy more than the firer. Therefore, IIRC, the efforts to code this in were rather redirected towards more pressing matters, like AI and known bugs...
Guest Pham
Can bridges be damaged or destroyed by artillery or tank fire like buildings?
Moon
Yes, they can. Stone bridges will require a few direct hits from large caliber shells, though... so don't try it unless you have way too much arty and are really desperate. Wooden bridges are easier to take out, but even here direct hits are necessary, so you'll need an FO with a direct LOS to the target to make sure you have a decent chance. Tank fire from some big HE guns (105 is fine) works well, too.
