Original CM simulations vs new Cm simulations and the computers needed for them

Recommended Posts

I bought Beyond Overload and Barbarossa many years ago and was relatively happy when them. Then my computer blew up and was replaced and then we moved and the disks and Manuals got put away and forgotten. Since my tv viewing has moved from tv to youtube, I was watching some of the old Band of Brothers clips they have and have since watched all of the shows, which got me to thinking about the games, and I'm not sure my current pc will play them. If my current one will play them find and dandy, I will use it to get back in the swing, but if not and in light of the new simulations, my question is will the old games play on a new computer that the new games play on, or will I need patches/fixes? Thanks in advance

I have some issues running CMAK from time to time with Windows 10. Sometimes the screen resolution will not change and it hangs. I have to restart the computer to correct this. If I just minimize the window I don't have this issue if I am PBEM, so as not to have to keep starting the game each time.

Also, sometimes once the game window is open the graphics will be glitchy. Closing the window and reopening it will cure the issue. I read this on another site at one time so it is common. Good luck and enjoy the games.
