Most of the sand colored tanks in Europe had the ^ symbol painted on them from the gulf war coalition. I departed there right after getting back from Saudi in 1991. So, depending on when this PIC was taken, they may have taken off the ^ symbol, or this PIC was taken at FT. slazzari Posted April 9, 2000 Share Posted April 9, 2000 I was stationed in Germany from 1990-92, and al of the M1A1's in the armor battalions were painted tan, then shipped to the desert. They remained tan right up until I left, and then who knows how much longer after that.
