Schrullenhaft
I'm not sure what causes this error. It may either be something wrong with the installation of the game or possibly something wrong with Windows. Assuming that you haven't gotten the game to run before, then you may want to simply uninstall CMRT, re-download the installer from Battlefront and reinstall it. If you have security software you may want to set exceptions/white-list the installer and then after the game is installed, do the same for the game directory (and/or the game executable) to make sure it isn't getting interfered with by security software. If for some reason the error continues after doing the above steps, then you may want to double-check you Windows installation: 1. Type "cmd" in windows search bar2. Right click on "Command Prompt"3. Select "Run as Administrator"4. Type "sfc /scannow" without quote and press ENTERThen :1. Type "cmd" in windows search bar2. Right click on "Command Prompt"3. Select "Run as Administrator"4. Type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth" without quote and press ENTER5. Type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" without quote and press ENTER6. Type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" without quote and press ENTER Some of these latter 'DISM' commands may not all work or do anything. Hopefully something among these suggestions will get you working. If not, please provide more details about your system, such as the exact Windows version, video card and driver (though that shouldn't have direct bearing on this specific issue), security software you're using, etc. There's a slight possibility that the following could be the issue, but it would seem a bit rare (registry modification by an utility or user): https://www.askvg.com/this-file-does-not-have-a-program-associated-with-it-error-message-while-running-a-game-from-game-explorer-in-windows-vista/ Edited October 12, 2020 by Schrullenhaft
Mark Hei
Thank Shrullenhaft. I was advised by CM tech support to try Bandizip. Installed fine with that software. Problem solved
