Liddell-Hart
Playing Carentan last night, turn 20 one of my Stugs was moving out of the way of an artillery barrage, it was still live at battles end, but when the next battle started it had disappeared, so my question is, can you suffer casualties between battles?
Kingfish
To answer your question, yes you can a few casualties between battle, but I've only seen it pertain to infantry formations. Was your StuG immobilized by the artillery barrage? Perhaps it was gun damaged?
Sergei
Gun damaged AFV's are abandoned between battles. Immobilized vehicles stay, however, and revert to 'bogged' status (IIRC).
Liddell-Hart
I thought it was definitely live, but I suppose I may have missed the gun damaged info, thanks for the replies.
Bert Hamoen
In a recent operation (Sobry, the revised version), one of my Shermans was immobilized by a near miss from a Wespe. The next battle it was up and running and OK. At the end of this next battle, it got bogged in the snow. Because of its return the previous battle, I expected it to return again, unbogged. Instead it didn't come back at all ! So either it was a casualty between battles or there are more reasons why a vehicle doesn't come back teh next battle then mentioned above.
