Hiram Sedai
I just love "favorite tank" threads!! I would choose: wait for it you guessed it!! Colin
I'd probably get... 2 Pershings as MBT's. Tt has plently of ammo, armor and a great gun. The tungsten & HE rounds are also better than the 76mm. 2 Sherman Jumbo (76) as a tank destroyers. They has enough armor to work on they're own without protection and with tungsten can easily take down anything they can hit. 1 Churchill Crocodile as a close support tank. It has great armour and a flamethrower. There's nothing more frightening in close range combat then it. It also has good HE and enough ammo. Wow... ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios! Triumvir
No one reads the question anymore, eh? 8) Pedro was asking about a platoon of the same model. In the context of Combat Mission, given that there are no point restrictions, it's a no-brainer to say the King Tiger. All the historical problems of reliability etc just waft away. If it's in a historical context, almost certainly a platoon of late model Panthers. They have few mechanical problems compared to the earlier versions, and very good mobility. They also have enough MGs to handle infantry. My other choice would be the T-34/85 (with radios!)
Colin
Fine then!!! I'd get 5 Pershings. Or maybe 5 King Tigers. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios! Juju
Nah, 5 T34/85's! ------------------ I prefer an enemy who's willing to die for his country. That way both him and me have the same aim in mind.
Simon Fox
Nah, a platoon of Bren carriers, one carrying a FAC with a cab rank of Typhoons on tap, one with a 25 pdr FOO, two with 4.5in FOOs, and one with 8in FOO.
