Rebane
at about 400-600 meters. I was stunned after watching the movie. Maybe I am just a beginner in this bouncing business, but how high can that score go!!?? ------------------ In the flat field I get bored... Dschugaschwili
If the Hetzer was hull down and it was an American 76, this can go on almost forever. Especially if it is standing on a reverse slope relative to you, because in that case the armor slope that is very good anyways (60°) becomes even better (by about 7° in normal CM situations, meaning standing on a one height level slope), increasing both effective armor protection and chance of ricochets. Jarmo
I didn't know they were 76's. So the one remaining is.... M10? Anyway, the 2 tanks further off had maybe 10 degrees additional angle. That gives the Hetzer some 75 degrees slope for the armor.
Cybeq
Yea, that Hetzer is a tough nut to crack. But it's ultimate undoing is that fact that it has no turret and has to rotate to target. I was able to get a track hit on one with a greyhound. Once it's immobile, thump it 'till the crew bails or you get lucky.
Rebane
Jarmo I know I removed some fow but to learn more, I decided to bring it up anyway. And I did learn, I did not know the armor slope matter THAT much, next time I am wiser ------------------ In the flat field I get bored...
Snake Eyes
It's wise to learn the capabilities of each of the enemy's weapon systems. You can then maneuver to take advantage of those weaknesses. The Hetzer has a slow ROF due to a cramped crew compartment and thin side and rear armor. ------------------ It is easy to be brave from a safe distance. -Aesop
