Childress
A stud...and he knows it. Check out that mane. John Kettler
Childress, I stopped to watch the video of that magnificent horse, but I see your mind went where mine did when it came to the nearest human resemblance, denying me my chance to post that observation. Gah! Now, back to the horse. I've read several times that biologists and some other scientists view any major display, be it mane, crest size, feathers, claw size and what have you over and above the norm as prime markers for the opposite sex of strength and power, leading, in their wiring, to favoring them for mating because of the wonderful progeny to be expected. As I understand the logic, only a creature with considerable additional energy and other resources can afford the overall outlays necessary to do those things. That Frisian is the most astounding horse I've ever seen in terms of magnificence; that spectacular mane, the glistening coat, rippling muscles; the radiation of raw power, vast energy. This is a proud horse which presents as having a distinct personality and is a quadrupedal sex bomb. I believe detectors clear out to the Moon are picking up estrus as a result! I believe the owners could make a fortune by using this horse in fashion shoots. Imagine a model atop him galloping down the beach at the water's edge, his black mane streaming, her long blond locks (for visual contrast) likewise. It is the golden minute, and the shot is perfect. Thanks much for bringing the Fabulous Frisian™ (think of the money to be made!) to our attention. Regards, John Kettler
Childress
Actually, I felt Frederick the Great was, despite the impressive mane, a bit sway backed. If Bo Derek was a '10' I'd give him a 7.
