Zveroboy1
....as opposed to 4 men for a german platoon HQ.I have been wondering about this for a while. This makes them extremely vulnerable obviously and you're naturally inclined to keep them in the back so they don't get killed by a stray bullet, putting the whole platoon out of command. Was it really so? They have no radios ok but no assistant or messengers? I think it is like this in Black Sea too if I am not mistaken. So what's the rationale behind it?
DLaurier
Some have the single man. Others have multiple men. Two, or three depending.
Tempestzzzz
I just read where a Russian soldier called a mission on himself killing himself and ISIS moving in on him. One man Special Ops. But I guess since he is a one man show he would be his own HQ. Right? No assistant? All NATO unit Special Ops I'm aware of is multiple men. FWIW
AttorneyAtWar
I don't think we can compare a special forces TOE from 2015 with World War 2 infantry platoons.
