Mattias
I just changed my HD and along the way I seem to have lost one of the most important files!! It was a compilation of sources on the armour penetration capabilities of WWII guns. Don´t know who did it but I picked it up quite recently and it´s bound to be out there still. Came in the shape of a fairly large word document. Excellent reference, humongous amounts of tables, ultimately proving the absolute impossibility to the claim of knowing the "correct" number of mm of armour penetrated by the gun X. Anyone recognise this and know where I can find it? M.
DesertFox
No what a pitty for you I don´t know the Word file, but there are 3 excellent Sites on the Web dealing with armour penetration values: Claus Bonnesens "ON ARMOUR" http://www.mobilixnet.dk/~mob75281/index.htm David Honners "GUNS VS ARMOUR" http://www.wargamer.org/GvA/ furthermore we have Valera Potapov on the Web http://www.history.enjoy.ru/guns/index.html Hope that helps Helge ============== Sbelling chequed wyth MICROSOFT SPELLCHECKER - vorgs grate! - The DesertFox - Email: desertfox1891@hotmail.com WWW: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Capsule/2930/
Guest JonS
Mattias, I think I know the one - were there 4 files in total, and done by an English guy? I'll whisk them along to you tonight (I don't have them here). Regards Jon ------------------ Quo Fas et Vino du Femme
Fionn
For future reference.. They are by JohnSalt and taken in conjunction with some of Claus' work they are very good. ------------------ ___________ Fionn Kelly Manager of Historical Research, The Gamers Net - Gaming for Gamers
Mattias
Thanks JonS and Fionn! JohnSalt sounds very familiar. But where, pray tell, on this wild web can it be found? In case I change HD another time or someone else is interested... M.
