GAZ NZ
Given tanks will reverse if a laser targeter - lock is on them in game Could infantry carry a system to use over an area freaking tanks out. Could this be used in real life. Over ride it with danger signals.
Codename Duchess
This has been discussed in at least two other threads. The answer is maybe, but it's not that simple and is a bad idea for the infantry. These systems aren't meant to go off from something as simple as a laser pointer. The lasers for targeting or MBT rangefinding are powerful and distinct, so you'd need to have a comparable system with you. While this would still be man portable, it is extra gear. But then you face a bigger problem when you realize these systems usually (and eventually all will) tell you where you're being lased from. So now the tank knows where you're hiding from, pointing a laser at him and you don't have anything to hurt it with (otherwise you wouldn't need or use this system). I think you can see where that path goes. Edited February 3, 2015 by Codename Duchess
