Hawk
Perhaps Steve or some of the alpha/beta-testers could help me a little bit. I am planning on converting a large miniature battle I once played to CM. The map was roughly 6 x 12 km and IIRC that's bigger than CM's maps (???). Anyway, is there a way of linking larger maps together, or would I simply have to create the maps beforehand and then adjust the forces based on the outcome of earlier battles? I appologize if I'm flogging dead horses, but the search routine didn't reveal any Hawk ------------------ Our's is not to reason "why", our's is but to do and die! Fionn
3 km by 5km is the largest CM can do IIRC> So it seems to me you should reduce the scale of the battle somewhat. ------------------ ___________ Fionn Kelly Manager of Historical Research, The Gamers Net - Gaming for Gamers
citizen
Go ahead and make your 6k x 12k map. That will be the Operation map. Then you'll be able to play on battle maps up to 3k x 5k at a time. There will only be Victory Locations on the "far end" of the Op. map, so you can't really settle the whole affair on one map in one battle. To keep the unit density high and the fighting intense, go with 30 turns per battle and send in a company of reinforcements after each battle. citizen
