76mm
I was away for a few weeks, and installed the patch a few days ago. I went to fire up a game and found that all of my custom hotkey mapping is gone. This is really irritating, because I spent A LOT of time tweaking the hotkeys to my liking. The file is now gone from the folder where it used to be. Would Battlefront please refrain from overwriting custom hotkey files in future patches?
Erik Springelkamp
Re-entering them a few times with all the patches will make you remember even the more obscure ones :-) Consider it a free training scenario.
Vanir Ausf B
I keep a backup file. If a patch overwrites my current bindings I don't copy the old file back since I assume BFC changed something that needs to stay changed. But I can at least open the old file and use it as a reference so I'm not redoing it from memory.
76mm
Obviously a backup would have been useful, but I am almost constantly tweaking the hotkey so always plan to back it up "next time"... Also, why would Battlefront have to change any hotkeys?
Vanir Ausf B
It was changed for the CMBN vehicle pack to make room for the Remove Mines command (or whatever it's called). Even though there are no mine clearing units in CMRT yet they seem to like to keep the file the same across games.
