Blimey Posted August 17, 2014 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Is it possible to import a flavor object plus relevant bmps and have that model/button show up in the map editor by amending the strings.txt file? eg. 1. New cart 3d object & appropriate editor button bmps copied across to a mod folder. 2. Cart mentioned in strings.txt However, when I go into the editor it isn't shown as an available object to place in the 3d map. I know I can do it by renaming the object to match the existing 3d object types but was hoping I could add a new editor option for the object so it would be less confusing for map makers. Sergei Posted August 23, 2014 Share Posted August 23, 2014 That won't work. All that Strings.txt does is tell the game what texts to show ingame. It's the exe that contains references to all files including 3d models that the game should load. And there just isn't a realistic way of doing that as you'd also have to edit the editor interface to facilitate an extra editor button. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
